The editorial website that promotes The Shift Project's low-carbon thinking
The think tank for decarbonising the economy
In the face of the climate emergency and the need to rethink our development models, The Shift Project, the think tank for the decarbonisation of the economy, is establishing itself as a key player in the debate on the energy transition.
But how can the voice of a scientific think tank be heard in a digitally saturated world? How do you develop a rigorous and demanding discourse that is accessible to all audiences?
The challenge was to overhaul The Shift Project’s digital identity in line with its values. A sober, effective, editorial website, capable of visually translating an ambitious social project – without exploding the carbon counters.
Sobriety is also digital
To meet these challenges, Sweet Punk has designed an eco-design site, combining performance, digital restraint and high editorial standards. The aim: to limit the environmental impact while guaranteeing a fluid and engaging consultation experience.
All of this was achieved in close collaboration with the think tank’s teams, to ensure rigour of content as well as accuracy of form.
Less is more
The site’s strength lies in its assertive minimalism: a sober aesthetic that leaves plenty of room for content, a rigorous layout that serves the purpose, and ethical web design that echoes the Shift philosophy.
No frills: a clear line that emphasises ideas, makes reading easier and makes browsing more responsible.
A site that is as militant as it is informative – embodying in its very structure what it stands for.
